How we protect and manage your data

Nuance App Pte. Ltd. ("Nuance", "we", "our" or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Nugle mobile application (the "App").
We collect the following categories of information:
• Account information – the email address or phone number you use to sign up.
• Profile information – your display name, profile photo, and bio (optional).
• User-generated content – takes, comments, chats, images, and any other content you create within the App.
• Usage data – how you interact with the App, device type, and crash logs.
• Analytics information – we use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregated, anonymised usage trends.
• Push notification tokens – to send you message alerts (if you opt-in).
We use your information to:
• Create and maintain your account;
• Provide and improve Nugle's features and safety mechanisms;
• Send you transactional notifications you have opted into;
• Monitor, detect, and moderate objectionable content and abuse;
• Conduct research, analytics, and diagnostics;
• Collect feedback through various channels (including WhatsApp) to improve our services;
• Comply with legal obligations.
We process your information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest (for example, to keep Nugle safe), and when you give us consent (for example, for marketing notifications).
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
• Service providers (e.g. Firebase, OneSignal) who help us operate the App;
• Law enforcement when legally required; and
• A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention is required or permitted by law. You can delete your account at any time in the settings menu, which removes your personal data from our live systems within 30 days (subject to legal holds).
Subject to local laws, you have the right to:
• Access and receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Delete your data or restrict its processing;
• Object to our processing; and
• Withdraw consent at any time.

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards—including encryption in transit, secure server hosting, and regular security reviews—to protect your information.
Nugle is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has provided us information can contact us at hello@nugle.ai.
Your data may be processed and stored outside of your country of residence. We rely on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and other safeguards to protect these transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by in-app notice or other appropriate means. Continued use of the App after the changes are effective means you accept the revised Policy.
